MacFixIt posted an article with an old solution, but still a good one, for solving network connectivity problems, particularly after a System update.
Entering the correct DNS Server info in the TCP/IP tab of the Internet connection port in Network prefs is the key to solving a lot of connectivity issues, in my experience. Read the article, save the info. It may help you out of a fix one day.
