PDFs in Safari – Apple Quick Tip

Apple Business has a Quick Tip of the Week page. The latest is about Safari 3.1 and it’s ability to display PDFs with the option to zoom in or out, open in Preview and save to disk through a toolbar at the bottom of the window that appears when you move the mouse over it and disappears when you mouse away.

If you install Adobe Reader, the default in Reader prefs is to display PDFs in browsers using Reader. This can be removed by unchecking the box in the Internet section of Reader.

Try both, and use the solution that suits your needs best.
