Macworld has an article by Agam Shah describing the return to work of Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs. He will be on a short schedule for a while at least, but I think everyone interested in Apple is delighted that Steve has survived pancreatic cancer (a feat in itself…) and his return to work.
Jobs underwent a liver transplant at Methodist University Hospital’s Transplant Institute, in Memphis TN. Hospital reports indicate that the transplant went well, and that Jobs is recovering well.
The innovative spirit and uncompromising demand for quality that the Jobs era has brought about is not over, I think. A lot of people were concerned that without Steve, the company would falter. It remains to be seen what effect his health challenges have had on him, both physically and mentally, but Steve has always been a tough customer, and I look forward to lots more surprises and delights from Apple in future, let by Steve Jobs.
