in Apple News, Software Updates

We’ll see Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) sometime in September, and the upgrade will be $29.95, rather than the $129.95 we’ve been accustomed to in previous OS X version upgrades. This is good news for everyone who can make use of the new OS.

Performance and Features

All reports from beta testers indicate the new OS X upgrade will be “snappier” than Leopard, with some relatively minor, but very interesting new features. The finder improvements alone will make it worth the upgrade.

You can see a brief video demo of some of the new features on CNET. A full description of the changes can be found on Apple’s OSX page.
