Safari 5 has several features not widely known. Here are a couple of my favorites.
RSS icon replaced by Reader
Before Safari 5 there’s been a RSS icon to the right of the address field, where you could click to subscribe to a site’s feed. The icon is gone, but the functionality can be accessed by clicking and holding the Reader button. A menu appears with RSS options.

Refresh button
Safari 4 moved the refresh button to the right portion of the address field, smaller and now as well located as it was in the toolbar. Command-R works, but if you are using the mouse it was very handy. In Safari 5 we can have it back.
Enable Developer Mode in Safari preferences: Safari -> Preferences -> Advanced and turn on “Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar”, and relaunch Safari.
In the Develop menu, select Enable Extensions, and download and install the Safari Reload Button extension by double-clicking on the Reload Button.safariextz file.
Control-click the Safari toolbar or go to View -> Customize Toolbar… and add the Refresh button wherever you like.
