Without a lot of fanfare, Apple moved the top-of-the line ‘Book Pro to a 2.6GHz Penryn processor (was 2.5GHz), available with up to a 300 GB hard drive (4200rpm). Time Machine kernel panics?

A report on MacFixit regarding Time Machine backups to Time Capsules or wire-connected drives causing kernel panics is disturbing, to say the least. Apparently, for at least a few users, the sparse-bundle (used to store backed up data) is becoming corrupted somehow. A temporary fix is to delete the sparse-bundle, but the corruption can continue. MacBook Air: overheating, leading to freezes?

MacFixit has an article today with reports of freezes from overheating. Processor-intensive tasks and Time Machine are culprits, it seems.
