Hi, I am the developer of PopChar.
Small correction: You do not need to renew your license every 2 years. If you are happy with the current version and do not wish to upgrade, you can use your license forever. The license even covers free upgrades for two years (which is more than what other software vendors offer). You need to renew your license only if you want to get upgrades beyond the 2-years period.
For more information, please see:

I couldn't understand some parts of this article Microsoft Office 2004, 2008 updates, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

If you're one of the lucky people that has an AppleTV, the Take 2 software was released yesterday.

It took about five minutes for me to download it on my AppleTV and another 5 minutes or so for it to install. The new menu interface takes a bit of getting used to having been pretty familiar with the Front Row-style navigation, but I like it. Quicker to move around and get to where you want to go.

One thing I noticed that I don't think Steve Jobs mentioned in his keynote was a feature I thought was sorely missing from the beginning - the ability to use the AppleTV with AirTunes (using it as a remote speaker hookup like you can with an AirPort Express). Well, that ability is there now and when streaming that way from iTunes, the album cover and such shows up on your television just like you were playing songs directly from the AppleTV itself.

Thus far, I'm impressed. Now, time to figure out how it does Dolby Digital so I can (re)start ripping my DVD collection to disk for use with the AppleTV.
